WHAT WE DO

At this critical stage in the young people’s care journey, we believe much like a supportive family in the principles of ‘democratic authoritative parenting’ emphasizing that Young People should have high expectations of those who support them in their day to day life comes full circle as they are encouraged to have the same regard for themselves by the high expectations of those who look after them. This is fostered by ensuring that we uphold the values of positive regard, openness and compassion towards Young People, while also inspiring them to set and achieve realistic goals that are appropriate to their individual needs and aspirations whatever they may be including; Getting an educational accreditation, finding suitable employment, learning how to drive, and developing their independent skills. 

Coupled with our therapeutic environment Young People can expect to be accommodated in a wholesome ‘family orientated’ setting, where they can feel comfortable, safe and accepted. With the developmental opportunities to be included in the decision making of the home, and with a reasonable amount of authority to organize their own support.
